Here are five practice tips to help make practicing more efficient.

🎵   Create a practice routine by setting up an optimal time every day that you practice.

🎵   Actively listen to your quality recordings of your pieces. This helps your ear to know if you’re playing the piece correctly.

🎵   Break up your piece into small sections, and isolate and repeat each of them several times a day. Hands separate practice is important at this stage.

🎵   Practice slowly. This seems counterproductive, but slow practice actually helps you play the piece faster sooner.

🎵   Strive to maintain a steady tempo either by counting, using a metronome, or simply tapping your toe to keep a beat going.
